What a difference a game makes!  Unlike the finals of the McNeil Classic which saw the Mavericks struggle
from the field, Tuesday night at Manor saw a much better shooting team this time around.  With LC
Alexander connecting from the outside, and Javian Johnson dominating inside, the Mavericks took a 20-8
first quarter lead over  previously unbeaten Manor,  on their way to a 54-36 win over the Mustangs.

The Mustangs came out more aggressive in the second quarter, scoring eight straight points to close to
20-16, but the Mavericks regrouped and led 30-20 at half.

Holding a 46-34 lead after three quarters, the Maverick defense clamped down on the Mustangs, holding
Manor to only two forth quarter points and got the win.

Johnson finished with a team high 18 points, followed by Alexander's 15.  Anthony Davenport, returning
from back spasms earlier in the week, contributed 11 points.

The Mavericks now head to Hays High School for a first round meeting with San Marcos High School in the
Hays Tournament, which runs December 11-13.
